Valley Ranch Town Center Raises the Bar for High School Football with Opening of New Texas-Sized Stadium September 12

September 05, 2014

CONROE, TX – September 5, 2014 – The Signorelli Company, developer of the 1,400-acre Valley Ranch master-planned community, today announced that it will celebrate the unveiling of the New Caney ISD Sports Stadium on Friday, September 12. The state-of-the art sports arena will be the first of many community attractions in the Valley Ranch Town Center, which is planned to feature 1.4 million square feet of shopping, dining, and entertainment at the newly-created intersection of Interstate 59 and the Grand Parkway.

The opening of the New Caney ISD Stadium is the result of a public/private partnership between the New Caney Independent School District, The Signorelli Company and Precinct 4 County Commissioner Ed Rinehart. New Caney ISD officials envision it as a sports complex that will cater to everything from state and national football playoffs to UIL competitions and amateur U.S. soccer games.

“This stadium became a reality through a perfect partnership between the District, The Signorelli Company and the County Commissioner’s Court,” said New Caney ISD Superintendent Kenn Franklin. “We are fortunate to have a devoted business member like Danny Signorelli in our community. He dedicated countless hours working with us on this project and shares a common vision for the future. We are also extremely grateful for Ed Rinehart’s efforts and support in the Commissioner’s Court. Without generous partners like these, we could not have moved forward with this project.”

“The New Caney ISD Sports Stadium at Valley Ranch Town Center will light up Friday nights with an experience that rivals the best in Texas high school football,” said Danny Signorelli, President & CEO of The Signorelli Company. “Valley Ranch is a community where people not only have the world at their fingertips, but also a place they can put down roots and create wonderful lifestyles for themselves and their families.”

With seating for 8,500 guests, New Caney ISD Sports Stadium features the largest real-time digital video screen in Texas high school football at 1,401 square feet, an electronic ribbon board across the second deck, and a sound system rivaling those in professional sports arenas.

The stadium also features a two-story Press Box with two VIP lounges, Media and Guest Suites, and is equipped with both home and visitor coaching quarters with video balconies on either side.

The New Caney War Eagles and Porter Spartans, both 5A district high schools, along with visiting guest teams will be treated like professional athletes while rallying in exceptionally designed locker rooms inside the Fieldhouse adjacent to the Stadium. The Fieldhouse features identical rooms for both home and visiting teams with high-end cherry finishes, mounted LCD TV screens, modern shower facilities and separate team training rooms.

Overlooking the field is a rentable Community Room that offers seating for 300 people banquet-style and 500 people lecture-style. The room is outfitted with top-of-the-line technology for presentations and offers a full kitchen for catering small to large functions, to be operated by New Caney ISD culinary students.
